I’m commenting here, because one can’t at Hot Air.

We, the European Union have been doing exactly what Obama seems to want to do (it’s hard to tell because he changes his story all the time) for about 15 years now. Diplomacy plus BILLIONS and I mean BILLIONS of euros. What have we got for it? Zilch, nada. I would be very surprised if he got any support for it in Europe. We’ve been there, done that got the tee-shirt. In fact I think we’ve tried all the options between us and Bush. None have worked. Frankly all I can see from here is containing the problem and letting the current situation pan out.

To be honest I don’t support Palestine particularly any more. They frankly are their own worst enemy and need to grow up. They want to fire rockets into Israel? Sure let them do it, don’t don’t expect sympathy from us when Israel retaliates.

In fact I agree with Hillary on this – we need to step back and force them to take responsibility for themselves. And yes, if Iran attacks Israel with (God forbid) a nuclear weapon, then yes we will flatten Iran.
